Guitar

Cohen started guitar this week! He wasn't thrilled at first but he got into it after he got there :) we really want to encourage our children to be involved in some musical instrument at an early age, I hope he continues to enjoy it! I can't wait to see what instrument Caleb and Presley play! :)

He just had a soccer game hence the cleats :). Only 2 more games!

Sweet seat

We transitioned Presley to a booster this week so she could be at the table with us :) I found the cutest booster! Caleb especially is so excited (see pics) :)

Growth spurt

4 bottles in one night for Miss Presley! So thankful she is a growing healthy girl, and thankful she can hold them herself or I would be one tired momma! :) a little over a month and she will be ONE!

Hide and seek

Is one of our favorite games to play as a family! Here's sweet Caleb hiding :)

These boys will make the best husbands! They make bread and squeeze oranges for juice!

Boxes

Make the best toys! We have had this box in the boys room for a few weeks and they still love it! Z cut a door and a window in it and one of them (or Presley) is always playing in it! I wonder why we even have toys, kids are so creative! They have used it for the drive thru, an army hideout, a reading spot, a house and even a place for duke to hid!

David and Goliath

Black eye# 2, wasnt blackvyet i took this right after it happened. He got this while playing David and Goliath with daddy. They love to play this game that Cohen made up. Pretty much an excuse for Cohen to throw things at zach, and to wrestle. I think he was David... In a Spider-Man costume.

Presley

Pitiful sick bear

Caleb had the 24 hour bug this weekend, he was so pitiful, but so cute and snuggly! Praise God it wasn't any worse and he seems like he feels a lot better! Amazing that this winter no one got sick like they did last year, and its almost spring!

Karate

Cohen started karate this week, it's two times a week :) I have been reading how great it is for kids for many reasons (especially hyper aggressive children). He looks so cute in his uniform. He is in a mixed class with all ages which I love, a little girl from his soccer team is also in there, here is a video I got of him in todays class during warm ups. Find the smallest confused child in there with the glasses :):) soo cute! we are able to watch which is awesome because I want to see what he is learning.

Spider man Cohen

This boy is so entertaining! There is a Spider-Man costume at church that Cohen wears every Sunday and every Wednesday. So it was only fitting that he had his own Spider-Man costume to live at our house in the boys costume box. We had to get the one with the muscles! He wears is non stop. He does school in it, plays outside in it and is even resting as we speak, in it.

He has asked to wear it to melody makers and karate but I did put some restrictions on it!

Chicks update

We are still loving our new members. Although they are beginning to... stink (but thats to be expected when livestock lives in your bathroom). I can't wait until we can put them outside into their new home!

Inside the coop aka house:

and then a little door in the back to collect the eggs from!

 They will live outside but at nights will have to be put up for their safety from racoons, coyotes, snakes, etc. :(

Only a couple more weeks inside until we can set them loose! They are growing so much we had to cover the bin with chicken wire because they were hoping out and roaming our bathroom! GROSS!

A little girl in this house has found her voice! 

She is always screaming, or seeing how loud she is make her sounds! She is saying maa-ma and we think we even heard her say "duuk" when looking at duke, who knows! She is getting there though :)

 

The newest game at the dinner table is she will do it to get attention, then one of her brothers will chime in and then she does it louder, then repeat. You get the idea. It goes on forever!

Caleb

You wouldn't know it by looking at this cute little boy, but terrific twos are in full swing in this house

Modesty

I have been thinking about modesty lately, especially since spring/summer is approaching. Then it dawned on me, that we have a daughter and how important it is for us to raise her and teach her what scripture says about it. My prayer for our daughter is she will embrace modesty, and not only for her but a prayer for our sons because of the temptation they will endure as they grow. I found this article by Mary Mohler, take some time to read it.

Chick Chick

We have a few new members to our family, 6 to be exact. Chickens! Yes, we caved and got chickens. We have been talking about it for some time but kept debating. We finally decided to do it, but thought we would get already grown chickens, but what fun is that? Much more fun to watch them grow from babies into big chickens. Right now they are living in our downstairs bathroom under a heating lamp (it has to be 95 degrees). They will stay like this for a few weeks and then we can put them in their coop outside (which Z has to finish soon!)

 

We are really excited about this for multiple reasons like the eggs! And the responsibility it will bring the boys (and Presley when she gets older), as this will be one of their "chores".

The boys picked out the black ones. Cohen named his "Chicken Tenders" and Caleb named his "Monkey Cheese" (aka Chuck E Cheese). The rest are nameless for now, there is talk from Cohen that one yellow one should be named Honey Mustard. That child cracks me up!

Soccer 2012

Cohen started soccer today through the YMCA! He was so cute!

A nap sleepover

Cohen had a "nap" sleepover with Jax a few weeks ago, I was nervous because sometimes Cohen doesn't nap but the boys were so excited about it! Kristin let them play and wore them out, Cohen had a harder time falling asleep and decided to play with some things in Lilahs room...


He put on some make up.

He tried on her boots, if you know Cohen, you know his boot fetish.

He even played "dress up" and tried to wear the spider girl costume.

He did end his playtime with a bible devotion, for girls.
