"I do it"

Miss independent used to love when I would read her books, it was... "our thing". She would pick a book, bring it to me sit on my lap and we would read. Now, she says "I do it!" and gets her book and looks at it herself.

She also has learned to sing her ABC's but if you try and sing with her or help her she exclaims "I do it!".

Can't believe she will be TWO in..12 days!

Layin on Eggs

One of our only two chickens left (Sproutlet, Presleys chicken) went MIA for a few days and we were worried, we finally discovered her... in a hiding spot, laying on her eggs :) What that means... CHICKS! She is ready to be a mother hen so she has been hoarding her eggs and sitting on them to incubate them until they are ready to hatch. So fascinating that she has been laying eggs for a year now and never had the desire to lay on them, but now she does! Oh the father is one of the roosters next door. We can't move her from her spot or she will stop laying on the eggs, so Zach made it as safe as he could for her and we board her up at night to protect her and her eggs : ) We also have to go and feed her and give her water because she will not get off those eggs! Once they hatch we will move them both to the coop. YAY for chicks! I am so excited our kids get to see the whole process, they have raised chicks before but now they get to see them hatch!

San Francisco 2014

Here is a glimpse of our trip to SF, I didn't get as many pictures as I wanted to but these surely are the highlights :) We had a great time and Interstate treated us so well and Zach learned so much about his job and the company!

 Our flight left early in the morning so we got to see the sunrise.

Things have been busy around here with the warmer weather and getting ready for our trip but wanted to post the latest from the iphone pics :)

Caleb and Cohen are doing an Easter class at the YMCA and this is one of the things Caleb made, he wanted me to take this picture and send to daddy. It is a twinkie, with a peep in it using a pretzel as a steering wheel! So cute!

And when you leave behind a house, 3 kids (1 on a special diet) a dog, a cat, and 2 chickens to grandparents you will have quite the list and itinerary. :)
Thankful for grandparents who are able to come stay with the kids, keep them on their schedules and most importantly love them!

He is looking 15 to me these days.
