This week on the iphone

Noelle and Presley wanted to pose for me to take their picture in the way they dressed themselves,  I think they did great but they thought it was hilarious.

This Wednesday at church the children made a fall craft for our homebound members.

We love Cave Spring Kroger.

Inceptio 2015

Inceptio: beginning or commencement

FCS really has a lot of traditions and ceremonies.

Today was the opening ceremony for the new school year where we prayed over the students, faculty and the school as a whole.

It was also the rose ceremony between the Kindergarten students and their Senior buddies. 

The K student gives their senior a rose and at the closing ceremony at the end of year the senior returns a rose to the Kindergartner.

I never got to see Caleb but I was sure to peek inside his classroom.

He saw me and smiled so big and waved! Made my day to see him in his class!

So far this year his best friend is Parker.

He loves PE and the teacher Mr. Doyle.

He does NOT like rest time. at all.

He can't wait to be in Kindergarten to get a senior buddy and not have rest time anymore! 

We are excited for our field trip in October to see "Good Night Moon".

We passed him again in the halls and had to hug goodbye.

Presley is really missing her brothers this year.

She has been getting in bed with Cohen around 6 each morning for some last minute snuggles before school.

First Friday Celebration

Faith Christian has a lot of traditions and one is First Friday Celebration where the Senior class puts on a play for the Kindergartners based off of a book. At the end of the play the Seniors get matched with their Kindergarten buddy.

They are buddies all year and the senior comes on field trips with their buddy and does various activities with them throughout the year.

Cohen got matched with Kiersten.

There are only 8 seniors this year so they each got matched with 2-3 kindergartners.

Today I volunteered at the boys school for lunch time. I loved being able to see Cohen with his class. Caleb's JK class eats in their classroom so I missed seeing him

The first 10 minutes of lunch are silent for children to eat their lunches and not socialize, after the 10 minutes they can talk. Kindergartners did so well doing this! 

I loved seeing Cohen interact with his classmates.

Today was the first day at their new school and we were full of many emotions.

It went so well though

His teachers name is Mrs. McPheron

He wants to be a police officer when he grows up
or maybe a comedian. He was feeling silly this morning.

Cohens teacher is Mrs. Anderson

He wants to be a Nerf War Hunter when he grows up.

All of us put hearts on our hands this morning for the reminder that we are praying for each other all day and thinking of each other. If the boys got nervous or missed us they would have that reminder and P and I prayed for them when we saw our hearts

Then it was just Presley and I the rest of the morning but we were so thrilled to run into Daddy on the road.

Thanks to Facebook I got a peek into the boys classes today.

Cohen's favorite part of his first day was that he was "The Quiet Champion". 

Caleb's favorite part was playing with his new friend Parker.

They also both really enjoyed going to Chapel today and said it was a lot like church because they sang "church songs" and there were people playing instruments like at our church and they also enjoyed playing on the playground. They both can not wait until they get a full day tomorrow so they can have lunch time.

On our last day of Summer we went to Nana's to play in the creek!

Speaking of our sweet girl, Zach and her enjoyed a special daddy daughter date getting ice cream together.

She was so excited to get this time with him.

Meanwhile on the route-

Caleb was asleep by 6:15

5am really doesn't work well for him.

ended the day with some candy and a football!

We really hope the boys will always remember these really special days with Daddy. Not much longer until Presley can join!
