WSBC FOOTBALL

A few Sundays back the Fernandez's were kind enough to invite everyone over for flag football in the field behind their home. Many men attended, while wives came with their children and enjoyed great fellowship :) We hope to do this more, Zach LOVED it, although he did say "I'm getting too old for this". And the women had a great time too. Cohen on the other hand..... likes to be in the middle of things, and the game he couldn't be in the middle of so he was...upset. He wanted to play football with "da eee" and all the men (I think Cohen is in denial about his age).

Showering Caleb : ) ...and myself!

Tuesday night was a baby shower for baby Caleb held by my loving sisters in Christ. :) They did an amazing job! It was held at 419 West in a private room. We played games, had great fellowship, godly conversations and laughed sooo much! It was such a great evening and the presents were just a plus. Everyone chipped in and got enough money for us to get our double stroller!!! ANDDD a diaper bag and enough stuff to fill the new diaper bag. I couldn't have asked for more.

Laymantown Farms

A couple weekends ago we took Cohen to Laymantown Farms to the pumpkin patch. We ended up not even looking at pumpkins but enjoying the other attractions, by the time we made our way to the patch, Cohen was losing it!

We are lucky enough to have a farm right down the road from us to get our pumpkins, for free. So we took advantage of that, but here are pictures from Cohens fun day!

32 weeks

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 33 weeks and 1 day according to the doctors visit today.
Size of baby: heft a pineapple!
Total Weight Gain/Loss: I have gained 42 lbs, ewwww
Maternity Clothes: haha, more like i need oversized maternity clothes!
Gender: Caleb "Cale" :)
Movement: All the time!
What I miss: nothing, this week has been fabulous!
Sleep: ehhh
Symptoms: indigestion. horrible

Best Moment this week: good report from the doctor today!! he thinks the baby will be bigggg! we shall seeeee!
What I am looking forward to this week: the pregnancy progressing :)

Raincoat

Last spring Cohen's Grammy bought him the cutest raincoat! A couple weeks ago it rained for days straight so we broke out the coat. Cohen LOVES his raincoat. He loves it soooo much he cried when we tried to take it off, he would try to wear it to bed, he wanted to wear it when he was naked, etc. Here are some photos of Cohen, after bath, naked, with only this raincoat on. This stayed on for hours, and yes the hood has to be up.

"story time"

Cohen is very "busy" "curious" "loves attention", etc. there are so many words to describe his busy personality :)

Last Wednesday we went to Story Time at the Salem Public Library. I love to take Cohen to any educational event possible, and this was free so it was a bonus! We went.... we (I) found a seat on the carpet square, Cohen played, Cohen kept playing, other children went to sit down next to mommies, Cohen stayed on stage, Cohen moved the sign off the elephant, Cohen moved the names off the board, Cohen moved the board... Cohen was told to sit... mommy got Cohen to sit...Cohen got back up....Mommy got back up....Cohen plopped on the ground and said "uhh ooo" in his cute voice until all eyes were on him, once they were, he continued..

Before I could get my almost 8 month pregnant belly up to gather him and make him sit with my distractive things I brought in my bag. The oh so nice librarian said "maam, your son is obviously trying to be the center of attention and it is distracting the children from the story, I am going to have to ask you to leave." I gathered our things, I gathered Cohen, I got our books, and we left. Humiliated. Did she just kick us out of story time? Yes she did.

At first, I cried. Maybe it was hormones, maybe I was embarrassed, who knows. I then talked to Zach who said "Ashely, get used to it, I was ALWAYS the center of attention in school and sounds like Cohen is headed down the same path." This comment made me laugh and I saw something comical about this. If this is the WORST that he can be all throughout school I should be thankful. I am beyond thankful for such a pensive, curious child. He makes my life so much more interesting and he always finds ways to make myself, or strangers (except librarian) laugh. :):)

At least this is my first child and Cale can only surprise me and be laid back, if hes not, I am fully prepared to be a mother of 2 class clowns. God is testing my patience, and showing me that I really do have some!

What I miss: sleeping, sleeping, sleeping.
Sleep: i miss you.
Symptoms: indigestion. horrible

Best Moment this week: i slept all last night without indegestion! lets pray for another good night tonight
What I am looking forward to this week: ending week 31 and entering into week 32!
