Strawberries

It officially feels like summer! 

We got to go to Grammys and pick strawberries from her garden, the kids thought it was so cool because they have been watching them grow and now they are finally are ready to pick!

They were so sweet and good. The kids ate everything they collected while still in the garden!

Today we played outside almost the entire day after we finished school

Camping

We had our first camping trip of the summer this past weekend. I didn't get many pictures because... It got down to 29 degrees and it rained. We were in "survival" mode by this point just trying to keep things dry and the kids warm... so my phone and camera stayed put up :) 

 This was our home.

And this... is a very sleepy boy on the way home from the trip, with his slingshot in his shirt.

 

Even though the trip was not what we thought it would be due to weather, we got to snuggle our babies A LOT (aka to keep them warm) and spend time together without anything other distractions or busyness. Sometimes that is just what a family needs!

Cleaning pictures off my phone

Cohen and Caleb had their buddy Jax over the other night and Zach had them all go pick up sticks.. a lot of them, and they started a fire in the middle of our driveway and roasted marshmallows! I don't love summer but I do love summer nights!

They also enjoyed a small hike behind our house!

And then there was one... since the... incident with the other chicken, "Honey Mustard" is by her lonesome, shes been making more and more appearances to our door for us to come out and feed her on the steps. I think she is really lonely. 

I guess our next stop will be the chicken swap to get her some friends!

This kid

This kid cracks me up! We went to a huge yard sale Thursday morning and Cohen brought his entire piggy bank. He was offering to buy everyone something :)

He scored a few toys and 10 Boxcar Children books (Total for all 10 books, $1.50) We are loving that series and get them at the library! Now he has enough books to start his own collection :)

Duck Pond

We always forget how fun the Duck Pond is! We packed a picnic and went to feed the ducks and eat lunch yesterday after school :)

Sidenote: I am very thankful for our little spot we can use when its warm outside for school. It is a nice break from the dining room and the kids really enjoy it!

We took Cohen to the doctor this week for his 5 year checkup!

He knew he had to get shots.

Good thing his support team was with him! Caleb even hugged him after and said "you did so well buddy"  :)

We have a new member who joins us for meals.... Presleys babydoll.

Who has no name.

She just calls her baby, I have even tried to name her but she is insistent its just "baby.

This happened Saturday. We celebrated P turning two this week!

TOMORROW ACTUALLY :)

And this... oh this is what is left of our 16 eggs. Setting hen was eaten, her eggs were taken, two were left, we are trying to hatch them ourselves in an incubator. 

Should start the hatching process this week sometime! 

I hope the kids get to see it! Great lesson for our homeschool day!
