Cohen missed holding her but he was at work again with Daddy on his route for a very long day. This was taken at 5:15 am and he didn't return home until 8.

We missed him all day!

Cohen brought in Honey Mustard II. 

He enjoyed talking to her before leaving for Sports Camp.

Cohen and PJ were both at camps so Caleb and I got to spend some special one on one together.

We went to feed the ducks and had a special lunch and ice cream

touch a truck 2015

Each summer we love to attend Touch a Truck :)

The kids always get so excited to go.

This year was really fun for us because Granddaddy Ty came 

AND 

The interstate truck, van and Zachs race car were all there this year!

I got so excited for Caleb when we realized how many police vehicles there were there!

He came in uniform with Zach but took it off to play- then once we saw all the cars- back in uniform he went :)

And what a hit he was!

One officer even took a picture of Caleb on his own personal phone.

A few months ago Caleb got an official VA state police patch from a trooper that is pinned on his uniform that everyone really thought was so cool!

Zach did such a good job setting everything up!

Caleb stayed with Zach from 8-4pm helping set up and clean up and even "guarded" the battery truck in his uniform.

 

Kids seemed to really enjoy the battery truck and the race car!

 

What a perfect day to end with a date night

Sparkly Day

Presley has memorized her favorite book, Sparkly Day.  She gets so excited while she can "read" it.

 

Try and ignore the noise from the boys room. Zach thinks its a good idea to get the boys as rowdy as possible before bed...

We feel very protected when we go out in public lately thanks to Officer Harris :)

1 month

Today marks exactly one month until Cohen and Caleb start school.

We have prayerfully made the decision to send them to Faith Christian School in the Fall and we are all getting pretty excited about it.

This was back in June at a Junior Kindergarten event they had. At the time we didn't know if we would be sending them but now I can share that we are :)

He has never been here a day in his life nor met these people that he is with.

Yes, I think he is ready :)

I don't know if Cohen or I are this ready but we are getting there and enjoying this last month of Summer- August 19 will be here soon!

Today we went to the Library to check out "The Balloon Lady". She was so much fun!

Cohen also presented Z a belated birthday gift today. He ordered him these banners off Amazon for the garage.

Honey Mustard will never be replaced but "Ketchup" is in a close second.
Cohen thought she was hot so he brought her in gave her a "bed" and some water.

Very relaxed, totally normal.

Don't worry we have read the warnings about Salmonella outbreaks lately with chickens and the children are no longer kissing them :) and always washing their hands! We take this chicken as a pet thing really seriously around here.

Summer Reading

We finished our charts for the Summer Reading Program at our local Library and went and turned them in for fun prizes :)

They had to read (or be read to) 20 minutes a day!

Cohen went with his buddy Jax to see the new Minion movie yesterday (Thanks Kristin!) so these two and I decided to go indulge at the Salem Ice Cream Parlor.

Cohen never minds going places where he can't eat but there is just something about doing it and not having to feel bad for the poor guy!

Nerf War and Water Fights

Cohen recently got a Nerf Gun and immedietely wanted cousin Seth to come play with him. They decided to do a Nerf War :)

Seth came very prepared and even got the kids badanas, extra darts and even PJ her own girly little nerf gun!

A day later- Andy and Lisa let the kids come down to do a water gun fight. Buckets of water, lots of water guns, lots of fun!
