Friday we went up to my aunt and uncles house at SML. We were thankful for their invitation and the time spent together :)

A few days later all the cousins on my moms side of the family got together before Amy Jeff and Lena take off for California.

Squirmy

Meet Squirmy, our new aquatic turtle :)  We got her from a friend of a friend who was looking for a home for their pet turtle that they have had for 4 years.  Of course, we were interested! Especially the boys.  We got her on Thursday and so far she seems to enjoy her new home, even though her name has been changed twice.

She really is a sweet turtle. She peeks her head out of the water when the kids look at her.

She is even starting to let Cohen hold her without flailing her legs around!

180

We have successfully completed 180 days of our homeschool :) The county requires homeschoolers to complete this many days so technically we are done! We will work through the summer a little each day on reading and writing :). Cohen was so proud we finally filled in all our dates on our chart.

Cohen, the animal lover that he is tried to save a dead bird today. He found it, brought it inside and tried to convince me of all the things he could do to save it.

it's the little things

A new fun thing to do for the kids is hit up the YMCA vending machines! The kids love going and spending their change on snacks and drinks at the Y, I guess the food I buy and make isn't exciting.

This seriously is a highlight of their week :)

Cousins

Aunt Amy, Uncle Jeff and Cousin Lena finally made their apperance in America from England this week! We haven't seen them in YEARS! 

within minutes Cohen and Uncle Jeff were playing soccer.

She brought her to church Wednesday and made sure she was listening to the lessons.

She looks so grown up here!

 

Speaking of grown up Presley is now old enough to be participating more during our school time!

pool days

Opening day at the pool was Saturday and the kids were so excited they were counting down the days!

 

It wasn't the hottest day

and the pool was chilly

but it was a great day spent together!

Cohen recently had strep throat. thankful it was a quick sickness. He came fully prepared to the doctor with a sleeping bag and his favorite stuffed cat.

He recovered quickly and transformed into Hulk (I think?)  

 

And built a "pit stop" for when Colton came over to play.

 

Perks of living next to a Veterinarian- we got to go watch and assist her feed a 2 day old kitten :)
