"Those Boys"

I'm afraid some look at Cohen as "one of those boys". I get the stares and feel all the judgement from others breathing down my neck. I often leave many places in humiliation and frustration. What I need to realize is God has given me this GIFT. This child, His child. I saw this article and was immediately comforted.

Pinterest 10 day challenge- Day 3

I love to pin school things for the kids off Pinterest. I usually do most of them but sometimes I forget to do some that I have pinned because I had so many. Yesterday during our school time Caleb tried out one of the activities that I saw pinned here.

 Gathered a bunch of stuff from around the house like bottles, cars, p's toys, etc. and he could put them in the right bin! This was a great idea and we even did thick and thin, and short and long after this. Great idea, glad I pinned it :)

Peaches and Presley

Somebody was showing interest in trying foods since 5-6 oz every two hours wasn't cutting it. So I pureed some peaches : )  She LOVED them!!!

Pinterest 10 day challenge- Day 2

When I saw this pin on freezer paper stenciling I was in love. How cool would it be to find an image, print it, stencil on a shirt, paint it and have something unique and fun!  So, I tried it. And... maybe I'm just not coordinated with an exacto knife, or painting, or both. I don't know. I chose to do something super super simple since this was my first time doing it so I chose to do a "C" for both boy shirts. You have to cut it out like a stencil, so it can be complicated and confusing, at least for me it was haha. Anyway, here are my results. Not to impressed, kinda shabby looking but they can wear them over a polo or something for a unique look or I may even let them paint on them and make it a "craft" shirt to wear at home while doing projects. This would be great for someone who can be very still while using an exacto knife and do something really cool! Least I tried : )

The blog this link took me to did some really cool shirts like batman, uno cards, airplanes, etc. The ideas are endless!!

Pinterest 10 day challenge. Day 1

I love love love Pinterest and I am a.l.w.a.y.s pinning things from recipes, to outfit ideas, to DIY, to homeschool stuff, and the list goes on. Do I ever complete the things I pin? Rarely. That is why I am doing a 10 day Pinterest challenge. The next 10 days I will do something I found on pinterest. :)  I started today off with something really easy and so I wouldn't get discouraged.

My earring studs are the hardest to find a place for and keep them together in pairs so I am always searching for a matching pair...

 Why not keep all studs in an ice cube tray? This cost me a total of $1. Man, that was easy and took me all of 2 minutes. 

I already feel so accomplished! The next 9 days may be harder!

He goes around, and around

Zach is really prepping Cohen to be a racer! Cohen just loves it! We took him to Rocky Mount today where he can drive the kiddie carts at a go kart track up there, since you usually have to be 4 but there they let Cohen ride :) (They even let Caleb but he refused!)  Z even "rode" one so he could teach Cohen passing, etc. I was very impressed that Co knew how to hold down the pedal and steer. He did soo well :) We plan to enter him into cart racing at age 5. which apparently is more intense then a go kart and an actual sport, if he is still interested and loves this! He went around.. and around.. and around.. and around... I think he could have done that for hours!
