We were able to celebrate sweet Hank this weekend as he celebrated his 3rd birthday. Presley was invited and her older brothers were allowed to tag along :)

The boys helped out some of the younger kids pin the tire to the monster truck.

Caleb really enjoyed giving rides.

We ended the night on our porch with Rootbeer floats. 

After all, one more week of Summer for us.

Cohen was in head of preparing a "show" for Zach and I this evening.

They got almost every floral decoration we have and took it outside along with some snacks and then we were invited to watch the show.

$1 admission

They also lined the steps with our house decorations

There was a lot of effort and thought into this!

No show is complete without snacks.

They of course served gluten free options.

Then they all performed.

They danced.

And flipped.

And flipped some more.

And danced around.

Zach and I were treated like we were on a date with being seated and served snack. Best $1.00 spent.

Football has officially started.

Cohen is playing for the Glenvar Bulldogs (the Biddy team) and a perk for him is Daddy is head coach and two of his best buddies are on the team.

The first practice was 94 degrees!

If this doesn't show pure exhaustion I don't know what does.

Don't worry, Coach Zach kept them well hydrated and Cohen must not have hated it too bad because the next morning when Cohen woke up he was in full pads and uniform ready for practice # 2, 11 hours early.

Then he got his sports glasses so he can actually see to play!

Now, we are ready for the season

And the fall weather.

Splash Valley

One of our things to complete before summer was over was a trip to Splash Valley!

Thank you Grammy for coming with us :)

Cohen has now mastered holding two chickens at one time.

Honey Mustard II and the first time catching and holding our white chicken, Danica.

 

AND

now our little chickens aren't so little anymore and laying eggs!

A visit to NC to visit Papa and Nonnie

They live on the lake so we played in the water. A lot.

 

Cohen is a natural at the kayak!

So was Zach.

Saturday we went to a waterfall.

It was beautiful!

and the kids loved playing in it!

I could not kayak.

Thankfully Cohen rowed me along.

We had a great time!
