Topsail (day 3&4)

Cohen took this of his Lego creation with sunset in background :) 

              And Presley got strep. 

Thankful for meds so she got on the mends :) 

A major highlight was visiting the sea turtle hospital. 

Here is "sweet pea" she was adopted by Caleb, Presley and Lena (thanks papa bill)! They contributed to her to help her in the hospital so she can hopefully be released soon. 

And Cohen. He wanted to adopt "Lennie". Lennie had blunt trauma to her head and is permantly blind. She was found by a fisherman, named lennie, hence her name. She will never be able to be released but Cohen chose to support her. 

 

Cohen filling out his paper work for "Lennie". And again thanks Papa Bill for helping them all adopt a turtle. 

They left with a certificate and picture of their turtle. 

                 Back on the beach. 

We face timed daddy. A lot. 

Out for sea food for lunch :) all our meals we cool at the house so it was nice to enjoy some local sea food!

Cohen continued writing his books. He's an author now and enjoys writing books. And selling them. 

Caleb decided he could color pictures and sell them. :)

Cohen's sale. He set this up, he wrote books, he made pictures and he even attempted to sell a beanie boo but changed his mind. He will do anything to work for money (usually to buy more beanie boos). 

Topsail Island (Days 1&2)

Thank you Grammy and Papa Bill for this family beach trip! 

Cohen brought all 24 beanie boos. Here are his two favorite he set up also to see the view ;) 

Our FAVORITE time to be on the beach is sunrise! Beautiful, breathtaking, thank you, Lord!

Bed by 7, up by 6 in time to ride the waves on the beach, alone while watching the sun rise again :) glad we did this because 1 hour later it rained! 

The boys are old enough now to really appreciate the boogie boards! 

And without fail, one Harris went down. Caleb had been pretty sick before we left so now it's Presley. 

They are here!

Today was a special and much anticipated day! My sister, Amy and her husband Jeff flew in from CA! We also talked non stop about seeing our cousin, Lena! So we made sure we were at the airport to welcome them :)

However, while waiting we had the BEST surprise that only could be orchestrated by God! Long story short, Cohen made a really good buddy at school this year, his name was Alex C. ( yes people call him that because there is another Alex in their class). Cohen and him got along so well, so Cohen was upset to learn that Alex had to move to Texas this summer for his dad's job. He has even shown some anxiety about who to play with next year at school. We briefly saw him in May after school let out but they never got a real, alone goodbye. So to our surprise we saw Alex and his family leaving for Texas, today! 8:40 on a Thursday morning at the Roanoke airport. 

Cohen got to hug him and see him and they said they would write each other. I know this made Cohen's day! 

After that excitement we had a few minutes until aunt Amy landed :)

                     They are here! 

Reunited! These two waited no time until they were calling each other "besties".

That ballet dancer on that banner is my sister :) she used to dance for Roanoke ballet theatre. 

We had a great first visit and can't wait until our special time together next week :)

Boxley

First, our laptop has died, maybe it'll come to life but for now it's resting so I hope these turn out okay since I'm blogging on my phone :)

Cohen, the animal lover he is discovered a box turtle one morning, he was screaming "emergency" so I ran down and found this. Emergency was he said the turtle was scared. Obviously! 

We brought it home and gave it a box and some salad, and named it "Boxley"
and it hung with Caleb while we had quiet time. 

It did well and the kids enjoyed it, for a few hours. They already have an aquatic turtle "swimmer" who lives in their room. So after the short stay here we released him back into the woods. Yesterday we saw a turtle crossing our road about a mile away so maybe he slowly is finding some new woods ;)

In other news Caleb battled a fever for days! Come to find out he had strep throat. 

He was pretty miserable but handled it so well :) he was a great patient, maybe it was the apple juice and super hero stickers but he did great. At the doctor for strep they discovered he had a heart murmur and suggested we get a second look with his regular doctor, we later did and he said he thinks it's nothing to worry about and we will keep an eye on it, praise the Lord! And Caleb seems back to health! 

And a note on this ballerina, Presley is ready to do ballet. She has started watching YouTube videos and this will occupy her all.day.long! If you can't find Presley she's probably somewhere watching a YouTube video on ballet and perfecting her form ☺️
