Hotel Roanoke Trees

 Tuesday we had plans to go look at the Christmas Trees at Hotel Roanoke with Grammy after school.

All that birthday partying this weekend hit some of us pretty hard.

All 3 woke up Monday sick as could be!

 

Presley enjoyed having the boys home to "read" to her before nap.

Cohen was able to go back to school Tuesday and brought home a birthday book for Caleb. His friends all colored him a card and the teacher had it binded into a special book. Such a treasure!

Zach and I could not stop laughing. Caleb got this after a football game in a treat bag Mrs. Kristin made and fell asleep like this! I have a picture before this that is so blurry because I was laughing too hard.

At school I always love to see whats on the bulletin board.  They had brought home a turkey to disguise.

He had a great birthday! He had a doughnut for breakfast, Zach surprised him as the guest reader at school and Zach took just him to a local high school football game. It has been their "thing" this season for Caleb and Zach so it was very special.  Caleb partied hard and didn't get home until 10pm! 
I'd say he had a great actual birthday!

 

2015 flu shots at flu clinic this Saturday

after I experienced the flu last winter this was a must!

Caleb is wearing shorts over top of pants and Cohen is wearing leggings and 2 different socks. They love their school fleeces. Cohen just got his and would sleep in it.

Instead of parties we have been letting our children pick one friend to do something with.

Caleb chose Parker from school and a trip to Thunder Valley.

He was also kind enough to let Cohen tag along.

This past week I had to stop at a local tire shop because I had 2 nails in my tire.

Thankfully we had Daniel to keep us company.

Caleb's birthday eve.

 Actually a couple days before Calebs birthday eve Presley and I went to the school secretly one day to pick out a "Birthday Book" for Caleb. They are books that you can buy from the Library to dedicate to your child on their birthday. Their teacher will present it to them on their birthday and you are the first to check it out from the school library.

Presley and I chose this book.

She had to keep a secret.

3 boys had birthdays this week so we celebrated one afternoon during their afternoon snack.

Each boy had to stand up while their classmates said something they like about them.

His teacher said she loves how Caleb is so encouraging to others and can make anyone laugh and how every morning without fail he walks into the class with a huge smile on his face.

His classmates said various things but the best was "Caleb loves to play with me" 

Apparently playing zombies on the playground is the thing to do.

The teachers explained "zombies" is basically chase while they run around grunting. Haha.

We LOVE Mrs. McPheron.

She presented him his book

Presley thinks she goes here too I think she has become so comfortable which will be great for next year.

Another surprise we have for Caleb is Zach is signed up to be the guest reader tomorrow (on his actual birthday) for Calebs class but Caleb has no idea :) AND he will read his "birthday book".

His afternoon ended with Grammy picking him up and taking him wherever he wanted!

He chose doughnuts!
