summer days

We have been on summer break now for over 3 weeks and we have enjoyed the creek.

some doctor appointments 

some fun rest times 

lots of swinging

some fishing

camping on the patio

skipping rocks

ice cream!

and watching brother play tball.

Beauty and the Beast

Presley had her first ballet performance and she did great! She was a forest sprite in Beauty and the Beast. It was beautiful.

Broken Arm/Media

A great way to start summer is with a broken arm, right?

One night Cohen was passing a football with his buddy and tried to catch it and fell on his arm.

The very next day he was helping Zach mow the lawn.

Speaking of summer be watching to see Caleb in a commerical with Faith Christian School.

JK Celebration

At the end of the year they hold a JK celebration where the class teaches us what they have learned and we get to celebrate them.

They learned 36 bible verses and 10 catechisms as well as some really cute songs :)

Mrs. McPheron also makes each child a photo album along with a word used to describe them.

Blessing Baskets

Mrs. Jordan, the first grade teacher is very intentional in teaching the children the love of Christ and having them show it to others. Each year the children bring a basket filled with fruit, bread, goodies and a bible and they travel door to door and pass them out and sing "This is the day that the Lord has made".

Snowy

The kids got a new chick awhile back and Cohen took a special liking to her out of the bunch, mainly because she was sick and crippled. They took such good care of her the two days she was alive. :(

Her name was Snowy.
