Safari Park!

Yesterday Kristin and I took our kids to Safari Park in Natural Bridge.. and oh my goodness HOW IT WAS SO MUCH FUN! The kids LOVED it, I even loved it too :) You got to see so many animals from huge turtles to monkeys all the way to giraffes, zebras and camels. The best part was the 1 hour wagon ride through the park just seeing and feeding the animals and even enjoying the view. Our kids all did so well and Cohen was on his best behavior, guess because he should be part of a zoo? I had 202 pictures so be glad I only posted as many as I did :)

These two were such a HUGE help! They helped reel Cohen back in from attacking the birds in the bird cage and kept all the younger ones safe! :)

Highlight of the day. Cohen got bit by a camel. (The warned us the camels would literally take all the food, and the bucket. Cohen tried so hard to hold on tight...)

 He lost, but left with a cool camel mark right in the middle of two other scratches from earlier in the week. poor child.

We had an awesome time :)

Papa Denning

On Wednesday August 8th my Papa Denning passed away. Although I was sad that he was no longer here on earth, I was also happy because now he is singing in Heaven with Jesus! I loved my papa Denning so much and have so many memories of my childhood with him! I drove down to NC Saturday to be with my family and to attend the funeral. My grandfather was a pastor for many years and 2 pastors came to speak at his funeral about how much he loved the Lord and even read us things that were found in his files from the Church. My papa Denning LOVED to eat at Wilburs BBQ. Everytime anything happened, I mean anything we would always go there. :) So after the service it was only fitting to go eat some good BBQ. (I had to cheat my diet for that!) The church that he once ministered at even paid for us all to go. And Wilbur himself came to speak to us and tell us how much he admired my grandfather. 

My grandfathers favorite scripture was 2 Timothy 2:15. Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.

Something very special happened the day my grandfather passed away. My good friend Lisa gave birth to her son, Hank! How amazing that the Lord can take and the Lord can give. It truly was a miracle. I found much joy in that day.

I used to be a big book worm. I even won the Accelerated Reading Award in the 3rd grade, cheesy I know :) Anyways. I love reading to the boys. Especially now that Cohen is older and can understand. We have recently started reading some books off the Sonlight reading curriculum for preschoolers and kindergarteners. Here are a few from the list Some classics!! We really love the library these days!

PJ-3 Months!

Precious Presley! You are now 3 months! You are no longer a newborn, just a sweet little baby who is growing tooooo fast!!

 

You are so snuggly and love to be held! You just started smiling recently and I love it. My favorite time spent with you is when the boys nap you get to lay in bed with mommy and we snuggle :) You sleep like a champ and I love it. You are only waking twice in the night now for feedings and sleep until 7:00am. You are on a more regular nap schedule now and we see your eyes open for a long time during the day! You are so alert (like you have a choice with your brothers around). Cohen and Caleb adore you, minus the occasional hitting you on the head, its a sign of love in this home :) We love you sweet girl.
