Last year we did a fun tradition see here.
The Christmas Express!!
We act like we are putting the kids to bed, following normal routine, but in their sheets are tickets for the Christmas Express (aka our car). They then get to go downstairs and get in the car where its warmed up, hot chocolate in each seat, snacks, and Christmas music :)
Then we go look at the Christmas lights!
This year we played a game where the kids were to be looking for nativity scenes at each stop, thankfully, most of them had one! :)
