A visit down east.

This past weekend we went to NC to visit Papa Denning (my dad) and Connie.  The boys had so much fun. :)  They played outside, ran through fields, got pulled by a mower,  got dirty, broke some things, lots of potty accidents, i mean we couldn't have asked for a better weekend!

apparently this is quite common, the plane drops them off above dads field for landing, then the plane comes and picks them up!

We had a great time down there and the best part was going to visit my grandfather who we called papa denning! I didn't take my camera in b/c I was so excited to see him I forgot about pictures, but that was the best part of this trip:)

Thanks to these creatures we get eggs! Organic, range free eggs : )

If anyone wants any eggs I'll put in an order with the chickens to lay ya some :)

birthday fever!

A sweet little boy in this house is about to have a birthday : )  Ever since he learned to say when his birthday was he has been asking "is it this week or next". 

This calender courtesy of Interstate Battery. Zach was so thrilled he brought it home and put it right in Cohen's room! (proud Lisa?)  :)

 He is not getting a party this year but we will make sure to celebrate in other small ways!

Today we made a chain link to hang in his room so he can pull one off everyday until his birthday!

In anticipation of his birthday coming up we also did this today...

 I wrapped a gift and let him open it. (the gift was a measuring cup out of the pantry) and let him practice showing gratitude when opening it. He is practicing saying "thank you for my _______. I will use it to ________.


It was cute b/c he opened it and had to think (aka I had to probe him along) of a reason he would use it.


His response  "Thanks mommy for my red cup, I will use it to help you make those cupcakes you eat all the time." {truth comes out}

Presley Jean

We have been debating names since they day I found out I was pregnant. We agreed on one girl name but then Zach had a change of opinion so we had to go to plan B. We are excited to finally have a name that we both just adore. Presley! Both Zach and I have grandmothers named Jean Scott. weird! 2 grandmothers with the same name!!! We used Scott for Cohen's middle so its a given that if we ever had a girl, Jean would be the middle!! We are aware that a nickname could be PJ, but if so, she will make it cute :)  Cohen calls her "presblee".  Bring on the monogramming!
